Smile!

I smiled a lot this week
Each time I logged on to Creativity Boot Camp
I smiled
Each time I completed my daily task
I smiled
Each time I perused the beautiful photos on CBB
I smiled
Each time I read campers' inspiring blogs
I smiled
Each time I delighted in the lovely comments left on my blog
I smiled
It cost nothing other than
Time, hasty organisation, lots of soul searching and heaps of creativity
But it made me
SMILE and SMILE and SMILE :)

I hope you all smiled too.

A beautiful weekend to you all :) and thank you Maegan :)

Smooth

Another hard one for me.  I had a good rummage through my fabrics knowing that I had some silk somwhere.  I may have a vast collection of fabrics but I know and remember every single piece - it's a bit like people who have untidy desks - they know exactly where everything is!  I have had these pieces for over 10 years - one even still has the price in French Francs!  I love bows and was inspired by my wedding dress which had a beautiful silk bow at the back.  I couldn't resist putting some silk and satin ribbons together too.

Hush

Ooh this is getting harder and I struggled to find inspiration today.  I hope my pram inspires quietness.

Full-Bodied

A hard word today and not easy to adapt to sewing so I went for the most common interpretation.:)

Writing

This piece of writing (from his school books) is the hard work of my youngest, little Jeremy, who turned 7 a couple of weeks ago.  I think it's a great piece of art for a little one and couldn't resist showing.

Drizzle

There has been a lot of rain drizzling here but I can think of lots of lovely liquids to drizzle over equally lovely foods.  Pancakes and maple syrup lingered, tempting and mouth-watering, as did chocolate sauce.  Then I came back to reality and plumped for olive oil and salad!

Ornament

We don't have many of those in our house, unless they are functional, simple and beautiful.  It took me a while to find something to represent Ornament.  I couldn't resist picking some wild berries from the garden which, I think, set it off very nicely.

FLY

Fly - today's word prompt from Creativity Boot Camp.  Well, I have flown many times but I think, so far, the best journey I have experienced, in many respects, is Flying Boot Camp!

Have a wonderful journey campers :)
I am so pleased to have your comments - thank you so much for taking the time to visit and for your encouraging words.:)

"Fluid".  I had to think long and hard about this one.  I think that this beautiful piece of fabric best suits the interpretation for my medium.  Yellow is not usually my colour - trying to break the rules!

Thank you so much for your comments.  I am so excited and happy about them - my first ones!  I wish you all a fab weekend.

Creativity Boot Camp - Grow

"Grow" - Seeds, sprouts, flowers.  I love flowers.  I was inspired by rows and rows of beautiful wild flowers planted alongside the main road leading into town.

Heavy Metal

Day four of the creativity boot camp and the word prompt is Heavy Metal.  As always I read the post early this morning so I have the greater part of the day to think about the project.  Well, this was not an easy one to adapt to sewing.  However, after thinking and doodling I came up with La Tour Eiffel, la majestueuse!  Couldn't think of a more elegant way to represent Heavy Metal.

Paris Amour

Multilayered

Well, flowers sprang to mind, in particular roses.  I managed to fit this into an exceedingly busy day, actually not quite, as I am a day late.  I love making these fabric roses - they are really simple and quick to create.  They can then be used to decorate cushions, a bracelet, hair clip, cakes or whatever takes your fancy.

The Teddy Bear's Picnic

This is my second piece of work since starting Creativity Boot Camp.  I am thoroughly enjoying it and had to dig deep for the "Picnic" prompt.  I love the song Teddy Bear's Picnic by Henry Hall and of all the things that came to mind I kept coming back to that so I created this:

boot camp

I am really excited about starting this today. Time to get those creative ideas flowing again.
