A revival...

I'm not sure how good I'm going to be at keeping this up but I'm going to do my best.

Hanging birds made from Japanese craft paper.

Plants, plants, plants...

Time for crafting is limited...

...it is sorely missed.

I try to fit some in at every spare moment.

Sometimes it's just easier to photograph what is around the home rather than starting a new project.

Although when crafting is in your heart and soul you cannot resist

and you even finish what you started!

I returned to work full time at the beginning of July after being away for over 10 years!

The small gestures...

...that make you smile.  Little Jeremy brought me these this evening after his bicycle ride round the neighbourhood.

Some neighbours are missing a few sprigs but they made me wondrously happy!

A most enjoyable time...

... was had at the Create 'n Date event in Amsterdam last Sunday.  The event, organised by Maaike of the beautiful blog CreJJtion, was a great success.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself despite my non existent Dutch language skills.

Maaike (in yellow) from CreJJition, and from the left Saskia from Haakgarens bij Saar & Mien, Claire from Haken en meer and Annemarie from annemarieshaakblog.blogspot.nl.  Gorgeous ladies who all make beautiful creations.  If you visit their blogs you can find the tutorials for the lovely items we made at the event.

I love those aprons worn by Saskia and Claire
There was quite a crowd at this event - 40+ ladies, nattering and hooking away, stirring up curiosity from passers-by.  After all, we did take over most of the pavement!

We all had our own name tags which we had made ourselves from a mini kit Maaike sent out before the event so that we could get creating well ahead.

The goodie bag.

We all came away with a fabulous fabric bag made by CreJJition and filled with goodies.

We also enjoyed  a scrumptious lunch, cake and endless amounts of tea and coffee.  To top it all off sunshine accompanied us throughout the day.

Thank you again Maaike, Saskia, Claire and Annemarie.  I had a fabulous time and hope to attend another Create 'n Date soon.

Bracelets

I don't have so many bracelets but wished to have them on display in an appealing way.  You know how sometimes you are about to bin something and you stare at it and wonder whether it could be recycled or kept and then think, don't be ridiculous, just bin it.  Well, this idea came after staring at an empty roll of t-paper for a long time! It happens.

I used a sheet of  A4 card and rolled it so that the bracelets would fit snugly.  Fabric scraps et voilà.

Well, a good thing after all, don't you think?
